Stephan Hales
Stephan comes from a country known for its attention to beauty, where harmony and attention to detail are present in everything it produces. Since arriving in Costa Rica in 2005, Stephan identified the areas of the industry where this talent and love for unique spaces could come to life: spaces that tell a story about the people who live and work in them. As the founder of Alto Design, Stephan has been able to see this vision take shape alongside an extraordinary team.
Meet the team
With professional training in interior design, a passion for travel, and multicultural life experiences, Itzel has enriched her creative vision while working closely with the European brands that have shaped Alto Design. Her experience at fairs such as Paris Déco Off and Maison & Objet Paris complements her background and lifestyle, helping her understand and offer each client the essence they want to express in their interiors.
From a young age, Marysia began studying architecture, expanding her view of the design world and drawing her closer to interior design. She lived in Italy, where her appetite and love for European design finishes and culture truly grew. She is highly creative, with broad professional experience across commercial design, residential projects, and events.
An interior designer with more than 10 years of experience in residential, commercial, and hospitality projects. With a deep passion for art and aesthetics, Christine also studied ancestral techniques such as batik, shibori, and printmaking during time living in Barcelona and London. At Alto Design, she brings her experience in the meeting point between art and design.
Kenyi has more than 25 years of experience in financial, educational, and legal fields. Today, Alto Design is the place where she gets to do what she enjoys: managing resources for the wellbeing and financial health of the company, where order, beauty, and detail also apply to numbers.
Always curious to explore the world, Siu Mei began in hospitality, which allowed her to travel and experience different cultures through customer service roles. At Alto Design, she connects deeply with what matters most: originality, creativity, and the quality created by people and groups from many parts of the world.
From a young age, Erick was interested in the world of art, especially music, which led him to teach instruments such as guitar to others. He has extensive experience handling delicate products that deserve attention and care.
